May and June 2015

Summer 2015 was full as always!

Inspired by Grammie and Grampa's new mountain house, we went on our first camping trip.  This was fun for everyone but especially a milestone for this little 7 month old nugget!

Grampa built a campsite swing

We had yummy food, good company, and a successful first camping overnight!

These little ones wrapped up their year at preschool.  Sam and Charli finished their second year at Montessori East (Ms. Brooks and Ms. Julia) and Benjamin finished his year at El Jardin de los Ninos (Ms. Irena and Mr. Fernando). What a gift to have such great places for our little ones to learn and receive love in our "small town" of East Nashville.

In June, Drew (and Dave Yoran) went to the PCA General Assembly and Cel and the rest of the Yoran clan came for a visit!  8 kids 6 and under and 2 moms in one 1500 square foot house for 4 days?  No problem (correction: glorious).

It's hard to snap pictures of all that filled the summer days- but there was plenty of playing in the backyard, building the classic "waterslide" (aka kiddie slide into kiddie pool), snacking, sitting, being bored, playing, building with everything, reading, coloring/"art", going to parks, going to our favorite-institution-besides-the-church (the Margaret Maddox YMCA), playing with friends, fussing, hugging, dancing, getting smoothie mustaches, milk mustaches, ice cream mustaches, and more other minute fillers than I could possibly list.  The days go slow but...
