Motivated blogger

I just looked at the blog and realized that it's January and I'm not doing so bad, blogging wise... I just posted in December!  Oh wait.  That was December of 2011.  Whoops!  Seriously, believe it or not, I'm a motivated blogger.  I'm just a really, really unproductive motivated blogger.  But I have a goal for 2013 to blog once a month.  It's currently January 29th, so I have two full days to get this up and published to meet January's goal.  The problem for me is that with this happening in the house...

and this...

and a lot of this...

...it can be hard to remember to blog.  BUT, it can also be hard to remember the sweet minutes that are passing by, which is why I really am a motivated blogger.  I'd like to take some time at least once a month to record some favorite pictures and happenings from our lives.

This January, we returned from our Christmas tour de North Carolina (Brevard, Wilmington, Pine Level, Raleigh, Asheville, Brevard) and we were still in one piece with some great Christmas 2012 memories.

We were tired, but excited to start the new year. This month we've been trying to get into a sustainable routine and, with Drew's classes, my increased time with Young Lives, and our "3 under 3," I think we're at least keeping our heads above water!  The weather has been awful, so we've spent most of our time inside enjoying our new Christmas toys and singing all of the Christmas songs that Sam won't let us forget.

Favorites from this month:

"Mommy!  Look at me in my eye!  Listen to me in my ear!" -Charli, after growing increasingly frustrated with me paying a bit too much attention to Benjamin while she had something important to tell me.  (runner up: "What's the matter, Charli?" "My feelings are hurting me.")

"FEEE!  FIII!  FOOO!  FUM!!"  -Sam, pretty much all the time.  Most memorably when he beat me to knock on a friend's door and I found him hollering that into the house while they opened the door to little him.  Also, when he was threatening to blow the manger down upon hearing the Christmas story in Sunday School.

(insert many smiles and coos) -Benjamin.  Ohhhh... he's so sweet.

Until next month... or next year... or never, depending how well this motivation sustains itself...

Meg
