No longer "still two"!

For a while, after Charli's birthday, when people asked Sam how old he was, he would say a bit reluctantly, "I'm still two."

As of today, our sweet boy is no longer "still two!"  Sam is a sweet, affectionate, belly-laughing, song-writing, curious, bright three-year-old. 

We've had a great birthday week to help Sam ring in the big THREE.  His birthday party was last week.  We braved our first "child only" party, so we did it a week early when we had an extra helping hand (thanks Mema).  Here are some highlights from the "puzzle party"for our little puzzle lover.

Sam loved his party, but since it ended he has continued to say, "Let's go to my next birthday party now!"  Fortunately, we had a few extra surprises for him.  Yesterday, we took Sam and Charli to their first movie.  So much fun!  Both were a little nervous when we walked in, but they got comfortable and enjoyed it very much.  Sam soaked in every detail and could pass an exam on Monster's University with flying colors today.  Charli liked the movie fine, but really liked the popcorn best!

Today, we opened Sam's remaining presents and made one more round of birthday cupcakes.  It's a good thing that Drew's birthday is coming this week too, or it could be Sam's birthday for the next month!
